I’m going to be reading at the Animals and Animality Conference put on by Queens University. I did my undergraduate degree at McGill in Anthro/Archaeology and am so stoked to be reading a non fiction story called Issues of Skin at an academic conference.

The key note speakers will be Carol J. Adams (Sexual Politics of Meat) and David Clark (Animal Witness, Animal Testament; or, Who was ‘the last Kantian in Nazi Germany’). Check out the conference line-up here: www.animalsandanimality.com

My personal fav lecture topics include: The Rhetoric of Wolves, Sexy Beasts and Bestial Sex: The Production of Human in Donne’s ‘Metempsychosis’, Pest Architecture, and Of Cats and Men in Medieval Iceland.

God bless you, obscuro-academia!
