Chris Urquhart makes stories that are true. Her award-winning writing has appeared in a number of publications, including Adbusters, Colors Magazine, Maisonneuve, The Santiago Times, Russian Esquire, Event, Matrix, and OCW. Chris completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University in Archaeology, and her MFA at UBC in writing.

Chris has worked as an Archaeologist for the city of Toronto, a kindergarten teacher in Chile, a lavender farmer on Vancouver Island, and art model for a queer art collective in Berlin. She is currently finishing her first non-fiction book, Nomadia, which will be published by Greystone Books.
